Susan R. Bauer, Inc. was awarded the contract to rehabilitate this 8 panel Pratt thru-truss bridge . Built in 1880, The bridge was dismantled and sent to our shop where it would be sand blasted, inspected, rehabilitated, re-riveted, sand blasted again and painted.

   Some of the highlights of the project include:  

• The entire floor beam structure was removed and replaced with a much stronger system of fish belly beams, stringers and tie rods.
• Replacement of stainless steel pins and nuts 
• Rehabilitation of the entire Truss member system.
• Total bearing replacement.
• Rivet removal and installation.
• Plaque and Portal rehabilitation.
• Fabrication of new 2 line guide rail system.
• Decorative lattice rail 
• All new members were hot dipped galvanized and 2 coat paint system
• All existing members were sand blasted and 3 coat paint system.
• Transportation to and from project site.
